A TRIBUTE TO MY EX-WIFE & LIFELONG FRIEND
A TRIBUTE TO JUDY

A TRIBUTE TO JUDY

From: Jon Lindstrom (Tue 12 Apr 2005 03:24:57 PM PDT)
I met Judy in 1978 or '79, not long after my move to L.A. from Oregon. She was tight friends with my girlfriend at the time, Lynn Sanchez. Judy has been a part of my life ever since. We all know she had some hard times toward the end, but she had a safety net of so many who had been graced with her unconditional generosity and kindness over the years. Glenn, you were even luckier to have Judy's heart for a time in a way that too few did. But she touched mine and I will never forget her and all the many kindnesses she showed me. I love you, Judy.

Thank you for this nice tribute. I got to know Judy briefly during the last Yardbirds'production. She was so supportive of my client, Ken Allardyce who helped produce and mix Birdland on Favored Nations.
She will be missed.
Love,

I had the great pleasure of meeting Judy in 1988, just as she was closing Penguin Promotions. We became fast friends, and she gave me some priceless Fleetwood Mac items I will always treasure. She was a beautiful person, and I feel blessed to have known her. Rest in peace my dear friend. You touched so many lives. The music world has sadly lost a beautiful terasure.

Dear Glenn, I am heartsick. I just heard the news of Judy's passing a few hours ago. Today is 3 September 2006, and she had been heavy on my mind of late, and because her birthday is on the 16th, I was gathering information to try and find her - again. Our friend Alvinia Bridges called me earlier and broke the news.

I don't know if you remember me, but I INTRODUCED you to Judy. I acted as Jethro Tull's publicist in San Francisco, the first time the band played there. We were on the way to a radio interview, in my car, when you asked if I knew any beautiful Asian girls like the ones we were passing on the streets. I only had one Asian friend, and that was Judy, who I had met when she first moved to San Francisco after her years in England. I called her, she came to the gig that night, and the rest, so they say, is history.

I was known as Chris Brooks in those days - nickname "Sunshine." These days I am known as Christine Claycomb (my maiden name) and live in the mountains of great Northern California. I am surrounded by Judy - the astrological (huge) plaque she passed on to me when she left SF to marry you; the beautiful things she gave me on my birthdays, scattered all over the house, but most of all, the memories that I cherish with all my heart. I can't believe she's gone! I'm in the process of writing a book, and there are dozens of chapters full of 'adventures with Judy'. She was one of the dearest friends I ever had, and I mourn her loss greatly.

I simply cannot believe that Judy passed away. I truly had no idea.

May she rest in peace. She was such a lovely lady. Your tribute to her is absolutely beautiful.
